Comment by Glenny: I love this painting so much that I have just bought it! This piece of work is exquisite and has fantastic visual impact when you see it in real life. The silhouette of the observatory works very well (I especially like the lit windows of the main building). There is a large area of darkness in this painting but this has been beautifully balanced by the pallet work, which adds a real sense of depth and dimensional texture. What more can I say, I just love this painting. - posted 23/10/2002
